Trump and the Rest

If anything I think I have been well informed on the political system in this country. I can say that when I was younger I was made to pay very close attention to what goes on around us on any given year. We were brought up in a household that gave us the freewill to make up our own minds as to what to believe or not to believe. I call that good parenting. Nowadays we call that indoctrination. Why Because from  the time of childhood were are told what our traditional families values are and if you did not follow them you were cast out as the black sheep (or white sheep) whichever you choose. Now if you hold an opinion you are now called the dreaded word Racist, Socialist, Progressivism, and so forth. So lets take the first one Racist and break it down. Racist:a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another. Hmm, So if you are a Trump voter you are a Racist. Seems a little odd, but ok. So why would you be a racist. Is it because you want to get control of the border area, or maybe stop the Muslim Cults from running amuck in this country, or maybe because he is a white billionaire wants to be President. Seems funny calling him a racist, he won 42% of the Hispanic votes in Nevada. I guess all those Hispanics are Racist against their own people, who knows. I do not know if he will make a good President or not, just like I did not know that Obama would divide this country along racial lines like never before in 50  years. Race relations have become much worse under him as President than any other. But somehow he is not considered  a Racist.
Socialist:a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole. This concept has never worked in any country, and the ones that have used it have progressed into Communism. And those counties as well have failed. The latest one to the party's Argentina. Enough said.
Progressive:  ( a group, person, or idea) favoring or implementing social reform or new, liberal ideas. Progressivism just used as a different word to describe Socialist.

Whatever side you choose you will be called something, Racist, Rightwing Extremist or something else along those lines. Why? because this is all an ignorant society can do is use those words to describe their position. Calling someone a Racist is the Impetus: (motivation, stimulus, incitement, incentive, inducement, inspiration)Of an argument you never had to begin with.

So the choices you make this year for President will have a great impact on the direction of this country. My advice is do not follow the sheep or the popular crowd, Hollywood blowhards, Black Lives Matter, or the KKK, or La Raza, or Cair. Or any of the other groups that separate us from being what this country was truly founded on. All of these groups have tore down what this country really has stood for and have stood for, and that is to help each other pull up those who need a helping hand. But most of all cherish the rights given to us by God to live free and prosper. Not to be tore asunder by labels and hate groups.

2)Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking. Marcus Aurelius

An enlightened citizenry is indispensable for the proper functioning of a republic. Self-government is not possible unless the citizens are educated sufficiently to enable them to exercise oversight. It is therefore imperative that the nation see to it that a suitable education be provided for all its citizens. It should be noted, that when Jefferson speaks of "science," he is often referring to knowledge or learning in general.
"I know no safe depositary of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.(I wonder how many knew who said that?) or this one “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.” Hmmm.

Changing Intelligence of America

I have often wondered how I would see the world today raised in this society. Why? Because I was one of those kids that grew up thinking my father complained about it too much. He would make us set down by the TV every night and watch the News. He would make sure we read papers from every placed we lived. Hell I even read the paper in Turkey when we lived there. I consider myself lucky to have had a father who really wanted his kids to get a world view and a well balanced understanding of the world in which we inhabit. Sadly the world has changed so much I do not even recognize Her anymore. She is listing in the water like a large cruise ship. And if you look close enough you can see what is happening, the level of intelligence has dropped a staggering amount to the low side. I took it upon myself to ask students simple but "In my day" questions about states and their Government. Well I got a very rude awakening, out of 100 people from ages 18-25 only 2% knew who the Vice President was. Only 5% knew the 3 branches of Government. I can go on and on with the answers to the questions asked. But the results were all the same. The numbers only went up when asked who is on any certain reality shows.

I think what scares me the most are the young Voters. They get bombarded every day by Idealistic Liars, failed policies, and just really shitty Government. Most if asked what is the difference between Party affiliation. And those answers will blow you away. To me they were asinine and most have no clue on what they were commenting on. I have a video of this secession but I will not show it because it is out of this world embarrassing.

My advice: do some research on your own, do not be lead around by the nose of Political hacks. Use common sense. And for God sake, before you open your mouth to speak your opinion on something know what the hell you are talking about. One of my biggest faults that I have, personally is that I cannot stand ignorance. (incomprehension of, unawareness of, unconsciousness of, unfamiliarity with, inexperience with, lack of knowledge about, lack of information).

Solar Variability.

Solar Variability.

February 1st 2016
In the grand scheme of things, the Sun is unbelievably constant as a star. While some other Stars have very dramatic pulsations, wildly varying is size and brightness, and sometimes even exploding, the luminosity of our sun varies a very small 0.1% over the course of the 11-year solar cycle.  Dawning on the realization among researchers that even these apparently small variations can have a significant effect on Earth’s climate. A report issued by the National Research Council (NRC) “The effects of Solar Variability on Earth’s Climate”, lays out some surprisingly complex ways that solar activity can make itself felt on our planet.

Understanding the Sun’s Climate connection requires a breadth of expertise in field of Plasma Physics, Atmospheric Chemistry, and Fluid Dynamics, Particle Physics, and even Earth’s History. When the Solar Cycle was studied by the (NRC) dozens of experts from various fields combined their efforts to frame the problem in a truly Multi-Disciplinary Context.  The University of Colorado’s Atmospheric and Space Physics Department pointed out such a small fraction is still important. “Even typical short term variations of 0.1% in incident irradiance exceed all other energy sources (such as natural radioactivity in Earth’s Core) combined”.  The most important is the sun’s extreme ultraviolet (EUV) radiation, which peaks during the years around solar maximum. There is a relatively narrow band of EUV wavelengths, the sun’s output varies not by a minuscule 0.1% but a whopping factor of 10 or more. This can strongly affect the chemistry and thermal structure of the upper atmosphere.

Using space-borne measurements of the total solar irradiance (TSI) show 0.1% variations in solar activity on the 11-year and shorter timescales. The Data has been corrected for calibration and offsets between the various instruments used to measure TST. The University of Colorado had several researchers discussed how changes in the upper atmosphere can trickle down to Earth’s surface. There are many top-down pathways for the sun’s influence. The Goddard Space Flight Center described how nitrogen oxides (NOX) created by solar energy particles and cosmic rays in the stratosphere could reduce ozone levels by a few percent. Because ozone absorbs UV radiation, less ozone means that more UV rays from the sun would reach Earth’s surface. NOAA took this one step further, they described how the loss of ozone in the stratosphere could alter the dynamics of the atmosphere below it. “The cooling of the polar stratosphere associated with the loss of ozone increases the horizontal temperature gradient near the tropopause,”. This alters the flux of the angular momentum budget of the troposphere and controls the surface westerlies. (Western wind flow). In other words, solar activity felt in the upper atmosphere can, through a complicated series of influence’s, can and do push surface storms off their tracks and off their course. How incoming galactic rays and solar protons penetrate the atmosphere. NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, “The impact of Energetic Particle Precipitation on the Atmosphere, “presentation to the workshop on the Effects of Solar Variability on Earth’s Climate. Many of the mechanism proposed at the workshop had a Rube Goldberg-like-quality. (Domino effect) They relied on multi-step interactions between multiple layers of atmosphere and ocean flows. Some relying on Chemistry to get their work done, others were leaning on Thermodynamics or fluid physics. The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) presented persuasive evidence that solar variability is leaving an imprint on the climate, especially in the Pacific. According to the report, when researcher’s look at sea surface temperature data during sunspot peak years, the tropical pacific shows a pronounced La Nina-like pattern, with cooling of almost 10 deg C in the equatorial eastern Pacific. In addition, there are signs of enhanced precipitation in the pacific (ITCZ) Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone. And in the SPCZ (South Pacific Convergence Zone) as well as above normal sea level pressure in the mid-latitude North and South Pacific, correlated with peaks in the sunspot cycle. The sun spot cycle is strong in the Pacific. Even if you take into consideration the low number of 0.1% during the sunspot cycle you have amplified the surface of the Pacific itself.
My research has shown the yearly averages of sunspot numbers for a period of 400 years (1610-2013), have determined the frequency of similar grand minima. Early estimates of grand minimum frequency in solar-type stars ranged from 10% to 30%, implying the sun’s influence could be overpowering. The sun itself could be on the threshold of a mini-maunder event right now. Ongoing solar cycle 24 is the weakest in more than 50 years. Moreover, there is (Controversial) evidence of a long-term weakening trend in the magnetic field strength of sunspots. By the time cycle 25 rolls around the magnetic field of the sun will be at its weakest sense the maunder minimum.

In the images of the Sun’s upper photosphere shows bright and dark magnetic structures responsible for variations in (TSI).  In a concluding panel discussion, the researchers identified a number of possible devices currently used to measure total solar irradiance (TSI) reduce the entire sun’s wavelengths. This integrated value becomes a solitary point in a time series tracking the sun’s output.   In fact, Heliophysics points out the situation is more complex.  The sun is not a featureless ball of uniform luminosity. Instead, the solar disc is dotted by the dark cores of sunspots and splashed with bright magnetic froth known as faculae. Radiometric imaging would essentially map the surface of the sun and reveal the contributions of each of the sun’s luminosity. This may be why paleoclimate records of the sun-sensitive isotopes C-14 and Be-10 show a faint 11-year cycle at work even during the Maunder Minimum. A radiometric imager will be deployed on some future space observatory, and would allow researchers to develop the understanding they need to project the sun-climate link into a future of prolonged spotlessness. Some researchers stressed the need to put sun-climate data in standard formats and make them widely available for multidisciplinary study. Because the mechanisms for the sun’s influence on the climate are complicated. Researchers from many fields will have to work together to successfully model them and compare competing results.

In summary, the key challenge for the researchers will be the difficulty in deciphering the sun-climate and how it links to the magnetic field and atmospheric circulation. Variations in Earth’s magnetic field and atmospheric circulation can affect the deposition of radioisotopes far more than actual solar activity. A better long-term record of the sun’s irradiance might be encoded in the rocks and sediments of the Moon and Mars. Studying other worlds might hold the key to our own.

The new emerging field of Heliophysics will help answer more of these questions before cycle 25 starts. We should have better data than we have now, because it will come from one source dedicated to just the study of the Sun. But the overall outcome is the Star we call the Sun has a greater effect on our little planet than most thought.

The world is in trouble.

To start this I guess you have to understand the mindset it comes from. I was raised by a great set of parents that instilled in me the value of knowledge and respect that has long departed the generations that followed. We were taught to work hard and respect the people around us giving an equal treatment to all. My father was a Vietnam Vet, and as a child I watched as people chastised him called him names even while his family was present. I honestly thought that I had seen it all. As kids we grew up all over the place, making friends from the U.S. to Turkey and so on. Our father demanded respect and made sure us kids knew when we were in the wrong. I have had my share of spankings as a child. Both of my parents steered us all in the right direction. You would figure that would not be the case because of the punishment that we received, that in today's world is called abuse. And if I could relive it again I would not change a thing. I have 4 brothers and everyone of them are great men respected by all that know them. My father and mother raised 5 strong independent young men who went on to achieve great things.

Now on to today's world. I do not recognize it at all. I see entitlement in just about every sector. I speak to college students who have no understanding of civics. Most of them cannot tell you the basic civics lessons you were supposed to learn in High School. They take terms like Socialism and add a word like Democratic to the word Socialism and that somehow makes it better. I wonder about this because we have already had one man "Obama" make all those same promises and now our country is going to shit. I heard people say after he was elected "I will never have to make another house payment I will get everything for free". Never happened. Now again we are on the precipice of doing the same shit all over again. Bernie Sanders is the same as Obama, and he will make all kinds of promises that will never happen. Trust me it is mathematically unrealistic. When he "Obama" stated he would change America he did just that. Now we will all have to deal with the fallout from one of the biggest mistakes the American people have made.

People we are in real trouble. Don't take my word for it do the research for yourself. If you are reading this that means you have the world of information at your fingertips. There is no quick fix here, and the real fix will hurt at first, but when you are not beholden to anyone then and only then you are truly free.
