Religious Intolerance in America.

I can honestly say that I am not an authority on this subject, but as a person of science I can and do have the ability to research the problems going on. Now first off I do not have a problem with anyone expressing their religious beliefs peacefully. I have as much of a problem with churches like the ones who protest Soldiers Funerals as well as Islamic people of faith demanding the beheading of people for speaking of their Prophet. The one thing that did set America apart from the world was the Religious freedom we enjoy. But it would seem to me that now the Government picks and chooses what is considered tolerant. (Thomas Jefferson strongly believed that religion was a personal choice that should be free from government interference.) And I could not agree more. Government's job was not to dictate Religion but to protect the practice of Religion of it's citizens. The Governments job was not to make it popular or take it mainstream, just to protect it's citizens from persecution. We ask no less for the protections of persons of color or any other beliefs.

Now we have a class of people who then go out and make movies and that somehow makes them historians and spokesmen for certain beliefs in this country. What a load of shit. These people like Miley Cyrus and Ashton Kutcher and so forth have no earthly idea what the hell they are talking about. The fact they make some shitty movie and that somehow makes them an authority on Religious beliefs and what is acceptable to the American public. Instead of public debate on the subject for these airheads they would rather go to Twitter and Facebook to rant on their beliefs. No guts no glory I would say.

It would seem to me that Christians have and are losing the fight in this country over their own beliefs. Everyday those beliefs are targeted by Governments and by airheads in Hollywood as if speaking about Jesus is sacrilege against the American people . But I notice they have no trouble spending the money with In God We Trust on it. Right Bill Maher.

I think what scares me the most is the taking over of this country by certain religions who preach hate and death as their mantra. These religions have become more popular due to the fact they appeal to our violent society. What they do not get is Video games are just that games. These people kill in real life. You see these young people drawn into these cults by promises of killing people without repercussions. But I am sorry to say their are sever repercussions to entering Cults that promise what they cannot provide.

We have become a lost group of people in the world today. We have several religions that want nothing more than the end to come. And that to me is the saddest part. Because with all the beauty that this great Earth gives us all we want is for it to end. How sad, how very very sad.

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."

"Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones."

" Our Hearts and minds are beautiful machines of nature, And our belief of God makes that beauty cohesive. It is how we treat others that define us as followers of a loving and compassionate creator. "

Just something to say part 2

I guess I might have struck a nerve the other day with the last post.(Just something to say) I made the assumption that there were others who had been called saviors and religious figures that had died in the same way that Christ did.

Well here are some examples:
Graves, often citing Godfrey Higgins as his source, asserts in the book that the following messiah-like "saviors" were crucified on a cross or tree before ascending into heaven.

Chrishna of India (Krishna), 1200 B.C.
Alcestos (Alcestis) of Euripides, 600 B. C.
Atys (Attis) of Phrygia, 1170 B. C.
Bali of Orissa, 725 B. C.
Budha Sakia of India, 600 B. C.
Crite of Chaldea, 1200 B. C.
Hesus or Eros (Esus), 834 B. C.
Iao of Nepaul, 622 B. C.
Indra of Thibet, 725 B. C.
Mithra (Mitra) of Persia, 600 B. C.
Prometheus or Æschylus of Caucasus, 547 B.C.
Quexalcote of Mexico, 587 B. C.
Quirinus of Rome, 506 B. C.
Thammuz (Tammuz) of Syria, 1160 B. C.
Thulis of Egypt, 1700 B. C.

Wittoba (Vithoba) of the Bilingonese, 552 B. C.

He also lists a number of other holy figures who took the form of men and then ascended into heaven, including Salivahana of Bermuda, Zulis or Zhule of Egypt, Osiris of Egypt, Oru of Egypt, Odin of the Scandinavians, Zoroaster of Persia, Baal of Phenicia, Taut, "the only Begotten of God," of Phenicia, Bali of Afghanistan, Xamolxis of Thrace, Zoar of the Bonzes, Adad of Assyria, Deva Tat (Savitr) of Siam, Sammonocadam of Siam, Alcides of Thebes, Mikado of the Sintoos, Beddru of Japan, Bremrillah of the Druids, Thor son of Odin of the Gauls, Cadmus of Greece, Hil of the Mandaites, Feta of the Mandaites, Gentaut of Mexico, Universal Monarch of the Sibyls, Ischy of the Island of Formosa, Divine Teacher of Plato Holy One of Xaca, Fohi (Fu Xi) of China, Tien (Tian) of China, Adonis son of the virgin Io of Greece, Ixion of Rome, and Mohamud or Mahomet (Muhammad) of Arabia.

Now taking all of this into account you have to ask yourself which story or Religious figure is the right one. My point in the last post is you have to think for yourself. If you read most of history man has made it plain and clear that they have all the answers to the Universal questions of life and who created it and steers it to it's fruition.

Now taking all this into account. Go outside one day alone and look around you at the magic of life. Watch as a bird flies above you oblivious of your way of thinking. Watch a butterfly that's life cycle is less than a couple of weeks go about it's job and at the the beauty that it brings into your mind.Watch the sun rise in this magical world we live in and just think to yourself at how wonderful and complicated it all really is. Look at your children and think at how they grew inside you and then they take on personalities of their own. From a simple perspective you see things at it's basic level, but at it's sub molecular level is where you start to see how wonderful life really is. You see the very complexity of how we exist and interact with each other and with nature. It is just a symphony of beautiful mathematics that make it all work. It creates the water droplet that drips down a leaf that when seen in a picture brings chills up our spine. When your newborn child smiles it brings tears and smiles to your face.

Life is complicated, and we as humans are just trying to understand our place in it. I will stick to my original story that I have a firm belief in God in my own way. I have been given teachings from some very wonderful people Terri Maxwell and Brenda Bowersock Rennels. and their have been many others. But most of my knowledge that I have acquired came from my Grandfather Randall Moore. He told us as children never give up looking and that has been what I have done for most of my life. Like I have said to others many time I wish I could make it as simple as most do but I have many questions.

We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion.

Just something to say

As a man of science I guess I see things in a different light than most. Some have asked me if I believe in God and my answer to that is Yes. But maybe not in the way most do. If you look at the human civilization you will notice that it is history that makes us who we are. For thousands of years we have went from one belief to another, all sharing the same common thread. Be good to each other and there is an other worldly presents that explains our origins. There have been several Gods like the ones we believe into today dating back much longer than the Bible and or the Torah. We seem to forget that history did not start with either of these beliefs. There have been at least 20 different men who preached like Jesus and died in the same way and many of them were to have been resurrected.  Why am I saying this, well because we all share a common goal, we all believe in something we think we understand but in essence we know very little of the origins or the genesis of our beginnings. The books we read today give us a easy explanation of both and a set of rules to follow, that to me seem to be very easy to do. But we as humans do not like easy. We make things way to complicated and we tend to muddy the waters with mans interpretation of what is real or not real. We spend more time thinking we are Gods and playing God, when all along we should just be happy that we are alive in this beautiful world. Alive enough to experience love compassion, beauty and peacefulness. And the wonders of the nature around us. The small but common nuances that make up life on this spaceship flying through space at several thousand miles per hour. We take for granted the delicate balance of the space around us, and how easy it would be for something to come from deep space and wipe this planet clean of all life.

Well all I can say is I do not have all the answers and I know no one else does either. Because if we here on earth had them we would not be indiscriminately killing people for Ideological reason. (My God is better than yours) (Mine is the one true God) this question has killed more people throughout history than any Plague or war could ever have done. Have you ever just went outside and looked up at the stars at night and just wondered what is out there, kind of like you use to do as a child, before your mind was made up for you by the people that surround you as you get older. How far would we have progressed as a species if the Dark Ages had not stifled science because Religion thought it was Heresy. What were they so afraid of. And can someone tell me why Muslims still preach that the world is flat, and that the picture from the ISS are banned in most of their countries. North Koreans do not even realize we have even put a man on the moon. But they have not limited themselves to making the most destructive weapons on earth. And to be all to end all Iran. Give them a weapon with that type of power would be like throwing children to a child molester.

We should set back and take a very long look at our lives, we need to make changes. If we do not make them we are doomed to fail at our own hands without even knowing the truth of our existence. A very Religious man once asked me if I believed in God, and one my best friends asked me that same question. Hell I had a woman I had known for a while ask me if I was an atheist.  And my answer to them is this. Taking my scientific background in Theoretical Physics, and HelioPhysics I do not pretend to understand everything. I just understand what my heart tells me. I do believe there was someone that created us and has guided us to where we are today. I also contend that this same entity wanted us to be much like them. We were given the tools to become like the creator and we have been given the ability to also attain the same insight as the creator or creators themselves. In just about all ancient text, it stated that God created us in his own image. That would seem to me like he or she would want us to attain the same stature. That is to understand the Universe the same way, and to show love and compassion the same way. To forgive and to help those who need it. But also to allow them to find their own way. Because a person true of heart will find their way. If not indoctrinated we tend to find the right path and we find that discrimination against one another is less desirable.

We as a species will reach a presuppose where we will have to make a choice. One to destroy each other or work together for a common goal. and that goal being to find out and seek out what we are doing here and why. We as a species have the knowledge to do so but we do not have the determination to work together. Throughout the whole world tonight people are dreaming of what the future holds for themselves, they have fantastic dreams of a world that works together. And most of them want to know what is out beyond the earth. It is in our nature to know or want to know. But the one thing that separates us is the one thing that has killed so many. There is no easy answer to the question of which religion is right. But it would be to our benefit for the world to come together to answer that question without malice.

Just my Thoughts.
