Maria Brink (In This Moment)
I am a big fan of music and have played music most of my life. I run across bands from time to time that just set the bar a bit higher. In this moment is one of those bands. The lead singer Maria Brink has a voice that can handle any tone imaginable. I started listening to her early work Beautiful Tragedy, and the song Prayers. From that moment on I was hooked. Her new Live album Blood at the Orpheum is outstanding. One song that sticks out to me is the live version of Into The Light. Her Music is well worth buying and listening to she is a treat to watch perform. In a 1 out 10 Scale she got an easy 10 from me, mainly due to her live performance of Into the Light. Amazing singer. Life in today's America
I have kind of been setting here somewhat perplexed at the state of our country. I am really worried that things are going to get out of control. We have a Government that "To Me" has lost it's mind. A President that thinks he is a representative of God or some King. We have a Congress that has lost it's muster. and will not hold him to account for his actions. Most, the American people do not want to have anything to do with. And someone please explain to me why you cannot say Islamic Terrorist, when you can say Christian fundamentalist.
I have heard that China wants to change to Euros vs the Dollar. People you know if that happens this country is screwed. Why? because we have been printing so much money they cannot account for all of it. The National Debt has gotten completely out of control and it seems no one cares. Well that is until it affects them. And it will trust me. My advice at this time is to move some of your retirement to Gold and Silver. Why because that is something the Government does not control. This one President has spent 9 trillion dollars in 6 years. Do you have a better outlook on life at this point?
America you had better get engaged in what is going on around you before we become the Middle East and chaos breaks out all over this country. Race against Race and Religion against Religion and People against People. Like if it was done on purpose. Maybe it was. Maybe that is the catalyst that they want attain to gain more control.
Remember Knowledge is Power and Ignorance is Bless.

Let me tell you a story.
I am small. I am young. I am just starting out in life and trying my best to understand the world around me. I love to play and I love to see new things. I run around my unusual Human family where I feel loved and safe. They play with me and teach me things and correct me when I do something wrong. I hear strange sounds and they tell me it is music "I love it so much". I see strange pictures in a box and it amuses me. I love to go outside and play, and I love to go to sleep at night and dream. For some reason when I got to the age of 9 they told me I would be given away to someone older as a gift. So I did not think much about it, I thought this was what life was about. But now I have forgotten how to smile and laugh and dream. I do not hear that sweet sound they call music anymore. I do not see those beautiful pictures in the box anymore. Instead all I feel is pain and fear.
So I guess you are wondering what I am? I figured you would think I am a family pet. But you would be wrong. I am a child. I am young lady that has had dreams, and love, and self worth. But now I am nothing more than property to the very people that for so many years took care of me and loved me and told me they knew what was best for me.
I am just like your little girls but I do not have a choice about my life anymore. Is this what humanity does to each other? I am in pain and want to die. I just wanted to to tell my story so that maybe someday humanity can treat others like me better and as equals.
